Chromatin, the packaged form of the genome, plays an important role in human, animal and plant development as well as in many disease processes. The Dutch Chromatin meeting brings together a diverse group of scientists with a fascination for chromatin.
This annual one-day meeting has been recurring since 2004 and has grown to 210 participants, a reflection of our vibrant Dutch chromatin community.
The main goal of the meeting is to provide a platform for the exchange of knowledge and ideas, and to foster scientific interaction and collaborations. This year’s meeting will be organized in Utrecht.
It will feature four world-class invited speakers, both national and international, as well as 8 talks selected from abstracts by junior scientists and an interactive poster session.
The meeting covers a broad range of topics and approaches: from molecule to organism and from gene to genome-wide, using a variety of model organisms.
The meeting is essential to maintain our collaborative and diverse national Dutch chromatin community, which will undoubtedly lead to new insights into basic chromatin biology, the role of chromatin processes in disease development as well as potential treatment regimens in the future.
