The Dutch Research community for Experimental Plant Sciences (EPS) meets annually in April. This is a long-standing meeting, known to all plant scientists in the Netherlands.
Plant scientists from the Leiden University, University of Amsterdam, Utrecht University, Wageningen University, Radboud University Nijmegen, Groningen University and NIOO, but also alumni attend this meeting.
Next to the scientific sessions, there are numerous opportunities to meet each other and discuss results, projects and new ideas. During the social events participants can get to know/catch up with the plant science community.
Almost all EPS-associated PhD candidates and postdocs are present at this meeting, as well as scientific staff members and representatives of the Dutch Plant Science Industry.
For PhD candidates this is often their first opportunity to meet the Dutch Plant Science community and the annual reoccurrence give them the chance to present and discuss their results. For postdocs it is the yearly chance to catch up with the postdoc community in the Netherlands.
The two-day event will be filled with plenary sessions of international/national invited speakers and national speakers, e.g. laureates of Vidi, Vici or ERC. The PhD candidates and postdocs are invited to present their results during the parallel thematic sessions.
