Grant Description

Based on the positive outcomes of a previous project, the proposed project seeks to upscale the adoption and consumption of moringa fortified flour to achieve sustainable diet and nutrition, combining the channels of social business and networks of stakeholders.

The main expected societal impact of the project is the creation of the necessary institutional and system capacity for achieving the objective of the project. Targets of the projects are children of complementary feeding age, their mothers, and school age children.

The deliverables of the project are: a pilot plant established to support training activities and technology transfer; capacities of the SMEs are built to produce the moringa-fortified flour through training, technology transfer and nutrition education; Outreach and dissemination for adoption and consumption of moringa fortified flour through communication tools development; networking, marketing and communication.

The duration of the project is 24 months, starting from august 2021.
