Preservation of Traditional Shona Ngano (Oral Folktales)

Zimbabwe's rich Ngano oral traditions embody historical, artistic, and cultural values.

The project aims to document, promote, and make accessible these folktales by recording and archiving them in various indigenous languages, thereby fostering cultural identity and pride among younger generations and diaspora communities.

Activities include identifying target communities, collecting and recording folktales, producing audio and video episodes, and engaging local communities through workshops and training programs.
