Grant Description

The rare Armenian manuscripts of Nagorno-Karabakh, housed at the Matenadaran, are invaluable cultural treasures that document the rich Armenian heritage and history of the region.

The project aims to restore, digitize, and preserve 20 manuscripts and 120 archival documents, ensuring their long-term preservation and accessibility while combating historical falsification.

Activities include the selection and research of manuscripts, restoration and digitization processes, organizing exhibitions, and publishing a comprehensive catalogue to raise awareness of Nagorno-Karabakh's cultural significance.
