Grant Description

The Jakarta History Museum and the Jakarta Maritime Museum are pivotal institutions preserving Indonesia's rich historical and cultural heritage, but they are vulnerable to natural and human-induced disasters.

The project aims to enhance collection documentation and disaster mitigation by developing a comprehensive digital cataloging system, establishing documentation policies, and training museum staff.

Activities include conducting a baseline review, implementing the Omeka platform, training staff, documenting and digitizing 1,000 objects, and launching a digital exhibition to showcase the project's results.
