Santa Rita Island, located in the San Juanico Strait, played a strategic role in the region's defensive system during the Spanish colonial period, yet its historical importance is largely unrecognized.

The project aims to restore the fortifications on Santa Rita Island, develop a restoration school, and promote sustainable tourism to generate employment and socio-economic development.

Activities include historical research, architectural documentation, social surveys, training programs, and the physical restoration of the fortifications.
