Grant Description

The Instituto de Historia, on the campus of the Universidad Centroamericana (UCA), is home to a vast archive of materials detailing the history of Nicaragua.

The photographic archive spanning the entire 20th century constitutes one of the most expansive collections in the country and provides a glimpse into the turbulent history of a nation afflicted by natural disasters and war. Funds will be used to conserve and protect the collection.
