Grant Description

To support the collection and cataloging of 30 traditional Cambodian oral folktales. The last survey to collect Khmer folktales was over 50-years ago. Most of the current storytellers are over 90-years old. With rapid globalization it is important to preserve these fables. The stories will reach an even broader audience as they will be published in English and Khmer.
