Grant Description

To enable the creation of a documentary film on traditional Belarusian music, musicians, and artisans who produce classical Belarusian instruments.

There are only a handful of musician-artisans who know how to build and play traditional instruments such as the Belarusian bagpipes and hurdy-gurdy, instruments popular throughout Europe form the 12th to the 19th centuries.
