Lumi culture and the Tenkile, a threatened a threatened tree kangaroo integral to the traditions of the Lumi people, are intrinsically valuable as elements of PNG's unique cultural and biological diversity. The project is recording the unwritten mythology of the Tenkile, and describing associated customs of the Lumi people.
