To support the continuation of work begun under a previous Ambassadors Fund grant to document traditional buildings and settlement patterns in Papua New Guinea.
In their tropical environment, Papuan buildings built using traditional methods degrade quickly and are increasingly replaced with new buildings of modern material and design. This project involves the documentation of Papuan villages that have not been the focus of previous studies.
