Grant Description

In August 2007, President Vieira of Guinea-Bissau obtained agreement from the Chinese Government to build a military hospital in the city of Bissau.

Then, on January 16, 2008, the Chinese Government and the Government of Guinea-Bissau signed an exchange of notes regarding the Military Hospital Construction Project. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
