Grant Description

On January 10, 2020, a launch ceremony took place for the renovated La Guardia Earth Station (Estación Terrena La Guardia) located in Santa Cruz.

The earth station, originally constructed in 2013 through the Tupac Katri Satellite project, underwent updates in which new commercial measurement and control capabilities were installed.

Through these updates, companies and other countries are now able to use the station to track and control their own satellites. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
