China sends second search & rescue team to Pakistan following the July 2010 floods

In late July 2010, Pakistan experienced the worst floods in 80-years due to heavy monsoon rains and strong winds.

In late August and September 2010, the Chinese government sent two international search and rescue teams to Thatta district in Sindh province. This project captures the second team made up of 59 members. The first team is captured in Record ID#36861.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) Financial Tracking Service captures both of these teams in flow ID #79528. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
