Grant Description

Chinese Government pledges $60 million loan for Agricultural Development Project In January 2007, China's Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing visited Guinea-Bissau for cooperation talks and met with Antonio Isac Monteiro.

At the time, Guinea-Bissau’s Foreign Ministry reported that the Chinese Government planned to issue a $60 million loan to the Government of Guinea-Bissau for the following agricultural season. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
