According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) Financial Tracking Service (flow ID #154782), on 1 March 2017, the Chinese government donated $100,000 USD to the World Health Organization (WHO) for "addressing health consequences of conflict-affected displaced Syrians and refugees" in Egypt (UN project code is SRRP-17/MS/109731).
This is part of the UNDP/UNHCR Regional Refugee & Resilience Plan (3RP) 2017-2018 which aims to assist Syrian refugees as well as host governments like Egypt trying to assist them. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
