Grant Description

On September 25, 2017, the Government of China granted the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) USD$34,025 for an inter-agency Iraq 2017 response plan.

The response and appeal plan is a part of the UN's humanitarian program cycle (HPC) used by humanitarian country teams to plan and coordinate humanitarian response operations. The 2017 plan requested USD$984.6m for the implementation of its plan, but only USD$47.7m was raised by member states. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) reported that China's contribution was paid.

This project is captured by UNOCHA flow #168530. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
