Chinese government grants 35 cars to Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs worth 10 million RMB (Linked to Record ID#36351)

On December 1, 2011, the governments of China and Peru signed an agreement in Lima granting the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs 35 official cars worth 10 million RMB.

The cars were supplied through the China FAW Group Import & Export Co., Ltd. and included 22 FAW Besturn B70 2.3AT deluxe passenger cars, 8 FAW Besturn B70 2.AT deluxe passenger cars, and 5 FAW Hongqi high-class passenger cars, as well as the vehicles' accessories.

This agreement follows an initial pledge on September 23, 2011, through Letters of Exchange signed by the Peruvian Vice-minister of Foreign Relations and the Chinese Vice-minister of Commerce. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
