On May 9, 2003, Victory Day, CNPC AktobeMunaiGas (CNPC AMG), a Kazakhstan-based subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corporation, set aside $63,700 USD to subscribe Kazakhstani veterans of World War II to newspapers and magazines.
