Grant Description

On May 9, 2003, Victory Day, CNPC AktobeMunaiGas (CNPC AMG), a Kazakhstan-based subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corporation, donated 80 apartments it had purchased in the city of Aktobe to veterans of World War II. 80 Soviet Army veterans - many widowed and lonely - were the beneficiaries of this donation.

The building was located in a prosperous part of Aktobe. All of the apartments were located in a single 80-apartment residential building. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
