Grant Description

On 28 July 2011, the Chinese Ambassador signed an economic and technical cooperation agreement (ETCA) granting 20 million RMB to the Government of Micronesia for unspecified purposes.

The special envoy of the Chinese government, Vice Minister of Health Wang Guoqiang, and the Micronesian president and vice president were present at the signing ceremony. The Congress of Micronesia approved of this agreement on 14 September 2011. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
