Chinese Embassy in Barbados, others, organize visit to China for Barbadian entrepreneurs

From September 26 to October 1, 2010, a delegation of Barbadian entrepreneurs visited China.

Delegation members worked in the following industries: clothing, new and alternative energies, furniture manufacturing, handicrafts, and food and beverage.

The visit consisted of talks with business representatives at the Wenzhou Chamber of Commerce and visits to garment and handicraft manufacturing enterprises, and it was intended to build cooperation between entrepreneurs in the two countries.

The trip was organized by the Barbadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Chinese Embassy in Barbados, and the Barbados Investment and Development Corporation. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
