Grant Description

On May 19, 2015, the 14th batch of Chinese peacekeepers arrived in Lebanon as part of the UN Interim Forces In Lebanon (UNIFIL).

The group was deployed in the border area of southern Lebanon next to Israel for tasks related to mine clearance and detonation, border pile planting, engineering, construction and maintenance, and humanitarian relief. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
