Grant Description

In late January 2014, the 12th batch of China's peacekeeping forces was sent to Lebanon as part of the UN Interim Forces In Lebanon (UNIFIL). They served for 12 months and assisted in engineering and construction, medical treatment, and consulting and advice. They worked primarily in southern Lebanon.

The group was awarded the "Peace Medal of Honor" by the UN on July 29, 2014. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
