Grant Description

On February 24, 2009, the fifth batch of China's peacekeeping forces as part of the UN Interim Forces In Lebanon (UNIFIL) was sent to Lebanon for a period of eight months.The force was comprised of companies for landmine clearing, engineering, logistics, and medicine. A handover ceremony for the group was held on February 23, 2009.

Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
