Grant Description

In June 2008, the fourth batch of China's peacekeeping forces as part of the UN Interim Forces In Lebanon (UNIFIL) was sent to Lebanon. It consisted of 343 Chinese troops. The force was comprised of companies for landmine clearing, engineering, logistics, and medicine. The group was awarded peacekeeping medals in December 2008.

Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
