Grant Description

On December 18, 2007, Sri Lanka’s Road Development Authority (RDA) signed two contracts with Shanxi Construction Engineering (Group) Corporation (CSCE): one contract worth RMB 45 million for improvement of 2.3 km from Kiribathgoda to Kadawatha of Colombo-Kandy road and for and another contract worth RMB 3 million for the signalization of Welikada Intersection.

Both of these contracts were supported by grant assistance from the Chinese Government. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
