Grant Description

On June 5, 2008, China sent the eighth medical team, consisting of 15 doctors, to Georgetown, Guyana.

The doctors arrived in Guizhou on June 11 to serve at Georgetown Hospital and Linden Hospital for a period of two years. A reception was held at the Embassy of Guyana to recognize the team on August 8, 2008. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
