Grant Description

On 16 February 2016, the People’s Republic of China signed an exchange of letters with the Government of Jamaica for the Confucius Institute Teaching Building Project.

The project involved relocating and expanding the previous Confucius Institute at the University of the West Indies (UWI) Mona Campus, which was completed in 2009. The new facility cost 5.2 million USD. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
