Grant Description

ICBC and China Eximbank contributions to USD 50 billion for infrastructure development in Indonesia On April 24, 2015 during the 60th anniversary of the Asian-African Conference, Chinese government officials signed a memorandum of understanding for a US$50 billion (646.9 trillion IDR) loan for infrastructure development in Indonesia.

This would be a syndicated loan in which Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) offered $20 billion USD and the remaining $30 billion USD would come from China Development Bank (captured in Record ID#49338).

The main targets of these loans are Indonesian state-owned enterprises such as Perusahaan Listrik Negara, Aneka Tambang, AdhiKarya and Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Persero). Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
