Grant Description

On September 3, 2007, the third batch of Chinese peacekeepers arrived in Lebanon as part of China's contribution to the UN Interim Forces In Lebanon (UNIFIL).

The force consisted of about 400 troops tasked with missions such as mine-sweeping, project construction, medical rescue, and humanitarian assistance. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
