Chinese Government provides RMB 30 million grant through ETCA in July 2004 (linked to Record ID#49948 and #64156)

According to the working paper of the Asian Research Institute, in July 2004, the Chinese government is going to provide an RMB 30 million grant to the Myanmar Government through an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement.

The grant is going to be used for the procurement of a mobile X-ray container vehicle inspection system (linked to Record ID#49948), the expenditure for the feasibility study on the project of International Convention Centre in Yangon (linked to Record ID#64156), the expenditure for drawing of master plans for hydropower projects (#63426) and Thanlyin-Kyauktan Industrial Zone.

Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
