Grant Description

In 2008, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce provided USD $1,694,000 to Indonesia's Ministry of Trade for Increasing the Capability of Mastering Chinese Language for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Government Officials.

The project was supported by Ministry of Commerce and was implemented by Indonesia Export Training Center (IETC), National Agency for Export Development, and the Ministry of Trade.

The project involves training courses in business Mandarin in three phases in China ("List of Priority External Loans and Grants (DRPPHLN) 2008"). The grant was planned to be disbursed in 4 tranches of $400,000, $400,000, $500,000, and $394,000 respectively. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
