China grants funds for Nutrition Center in Cote d'Ivoire

On 21 February 2014, the Chinese Ambassador attended the handover ceremony for a nutrition center (Centre de Nutrition suplémentaire-CNS or 辅助营养中心) in Korhogo, Cote d'Ivoire. The project was jointly managed by the Chinese Red Cross and Ivorian Red Cross.

Financial assistance came from the Chinese Embassy and an unspecified local Ivorian company selected by the Ivorian Red Cross carried out the works.

The project included renovating several buildings, new sanitary facilities such as toilets and other unspecified equipment. The project value and construction start date are unknown. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
