China Exim Bank provides $4 billion commercial loan to Belarus to finance joint projects On May 11, 2015, China's EXIM bank agreed to provide $4 billion USD in commercial loans to Belarus for Belarusian banks to support SMEs and other business projects (Gordonua).

The loans will help finance projects in priority sectors of the economy: the construction of infrastructure, the social sphere, as well as in the development of small and medium-sized businesses (Newsgomel). This is an ongoing project according to the Eurasia Expert source. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
