Chinese Embassy provides second 'Ambassador Book Corner' donation of Chinese books worth 330,000 RMB to schools in Cambodia

On November 6, 2017, the Chinese Embassy donated 9,130 Chinese language books to five universities and schools in Cambodia.

The beneficiaries are the state-owned Royal University of Phnom Penh, Asia Euro University, Min Sheng Chinese School, Duan Hua Chinese School, and Li Qing Chinese School.

At the hand-over ceremony held at the embassy residence in Phnom Penh, Chinese Ambassador Xiong Bo said the books included literature, history, geography, tourism, education, arts, culture, language, and agriculture with a total cost of 330,000 Chinese Yuan (50,000 U.S. dollars). Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
