Grant Description

On 8th December, 2017, Chinese Ambassador to Tonga H.E.

Wang Baodong signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) of an unspecified value with the Minister of Finance and National Planning Hon. the Dr.

Pohiva Tui'onetoa granting funds for the Tonga High School Sports Complex project (Also known as Tonga High School Phase II). This ETCA came after the two countries agreed to research the feasibility of such an agreement in November 2017. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
