Grant Description

On Dec 27th, 2010, the project development agreement was signed for China Datang International Power Generation Co., Ltd. investment in Pakbeng (Mekong) Hydropower Project in Laos.

According to "2015 Government of Laos Bond Prospectus", China Datang International Power Generation Co., Ltd. will have a share of 81% and EDL 19%. The construction of the hydro-electric power plant will start in 2022 and is expected to be completed by 2029. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
