Grant Description

On November 24th, 2016, Ambassador Wang Xuefeng met with four Samoan doctors from Tupua Tamasese Meaole Hospital (Samoa National Hospital) before their departure to China.

The four doctors undertook three months of professional training at the Huizhou Central People's Hospital in Guangdong Province, China. The doctors' names are Dr.

Glen Fatuto, Masina Fuimaono, Victor Mapusone, and Siaosi Tuigamala, and they specialized in biomedical engineering, medical imaging, and other laboratory techniques. This group was the first to benefit from the Huizhou Central People's Hospital training program. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
