Grant Description

On June 27, 2017, China donated P15 million for the relief operations and rehabilitation of the besieged City of Marawi.

According to "China donates P15-M for Marawi relief, rehab," the donation came in response to "more than a month of firefights between government troops and terrorists [that] have left parts of the city in ruins." Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
