Grant Description

On June 2, 2015, Guangdong Health and Family Planning Commission (GDHFPC) and the Ministry of Health, Fiji signed a Memorandum of Understanding for medical services.

This MoU was one of 21 commercial and government MOUs signed during the Fiji-China (Guangdong) Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference held at Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva, Fiji.

The Guangdong Provincial Government provided an FJD 1,244,008 aid-in-kind grant for the Navua Hospital Technical Cooperation Project in Fiji in 2017. The project involves technical assistance by medical teams from Guangdong Province. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
