Grant Description

On September 18, 2015, the Chinese Ambassador and Micronesian Secretary of Foreign Affairs signed an economic and technical cooperation agreement (ETCA #65035) worth $10.25 million USD. According to the Lowy Institute, part of this ETCA was spent on 15 vehicles. The total value of this donation is 3.85 million RMB or $605,444.48 USD.

This grant agreement was formally accepted by the Government of Micronesia on November, 20, 2015. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
