Grant Description

On April 21, 2015 at the FSM President's Office, the Chinese government officially donated a cash grant of $500,000 USD to support the Government of Micronesia's response to the damage inflicted by Typhoon Maysak on the states of Chuuk and Yap.

Micronesia's legislature passed a resolution on July 18, 2015 thanking the Chinese government for their emergency assistance. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
