Chinese Government dispatches 17th Chinese Medical Team to Northern District Hospital

On October 30th, 2015, the Chinese Ambassador, Xie Bohua, and Vanuatu's Prime Minister signed letters of exchange for the provision of the 17th medical team in a medical technology cooperation project to Santo Northern Hospital. China has been sending medical teams to the Santo Northern Hospital since 1985.

These teams typically include 7-9 doctors and serve for 2-years. The project has been implemented ("驻瓦努阿图大使刘全赴桑托岛考察"). Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
