Chinese government signs ETCA for interest free loan On October 20, 2011, the Chinese government signed three economic and technical cooperation agreements with the government of Malawi.

The three agreements included assistance for a Malawi agricultural demonstration center (#832), an unknown amount of free economic assistance (#58118), and an interest-free loan. This project is for the interest-free loan. The amount and purpose of the loan is unknown. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
