Grant Description

On December 23, 2014, the Chinese government committed to provide financial assistance for the cross-border animal disease prevention and control project in Laos (or 老挝跨境动物疫病防控项目).

On March 22, 2015, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Lao PDR and the Ministry of Commerce of China signed a Memorandum of Understanding for a grant of $ 6 million for the project. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
