China signs RMB 100 million ETCA in October 2016 for anti-illegal drug activities and law enforcement cooperation purposes for Philippines (Linked to Record ID#63926, #65720, #63927, and #63928)

On October 20, 2016, China signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) for an RMB 100 million grant to the Philippines for anti-illegal drug activities and law enforcement security cooperation purposes.

This agreement was signed by Chinese and Filipino officials under the supervision of Chinese President Jinping and Filipino President Duterte. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
