Grant Description

In 2017, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce provided 70 scholarships to Sierra Leone.

On August 22, 2017, the Chinese embassy in Sierra Leone held a farewell ceremony for the students who received the scholarships.

The Economic and Commercial Counselor Shen Xiaokai and the Deputy Minister of Communications attended the event and delivered speeches. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
