Grant Description
In November 2006, the government in Hunan Province, China, committed to donate a set of medical equipments to Sierra Leone when Sierra Leone's President Ahmad Tejan Kabbah visited Hunan Province during the Beijing Summit of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum.
In mid-August 2007, the equipments were delivered to Freetown, including 6 devices including X-ray machines, electrocardiographs, and digital ultrasonic diagnostic instruments. The medical equipments worth RMB 550,000. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.
Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
